ShowPlex Cinemas Continues Growth With Acquisition

OVERLAND PARK, KS – (December 14th, 2011) – ShowPlex Cinemas is pleased to announce the acquisition of the West End Pointe 8 Theatre in Yukon, OK from Dickinson Theatres. Overland Park, KS based ShowPlex Cinemas adds the eight-screen theatre to its 10 theatres and 86 screens located across the mid-west.

Changes and improvements already made include a new ticketing system, the addition of 4:00PM shows during the weekdays, and lowered tickets prices across all categories to better serve the Yukon community. ShowPlex Cinemas is also converting the theatre to 100% digital projection, featuring the latest in digital cinema technology. The digital cinema rollout for all ShowPlex Cinemas theatres is currently underway with completion estimated prior to September 2012.
